A whole new year...

So I'll be doing New Year's at friends, having some drinks and chatting and absolutely not getting into a party dress and trying to get kissed at midnight. Hmph.

A thought tonight

We have people living in space tonight, and have had constantly for years. We have reusable spacecraft (again). We have a probe on Mars, we landed another on a comet. All that in less than 60 years since we sent someone into space properly. We're amazing. really, when we try.

Perfume and clothing adverts... a tempting parallel world

Xmas TV advertising is full of faux-festive cheer, toys, food... and fashion and perfume ads trying to lure me into evening dresses, stiletto heels, full makeup and perfume.

Pantomime

Panto is many a British child's introduction to the theatre... and to seeing men in dresses.

I've never wanted to be a panto dame... I want to be the "principal boy", and end the day by taking off that costume and going back to girls' clothes...

Panto has pretty much lost that half of its stage crossdressing tradition, keeping the drag-ish dames in most cases but making the male leads, well, male. The lack of female 'princes' in tights and heels is a real shame...

Of course I want to be the principal girl most of all.

Saturday, December 05, 2015

Oh Clara, if you had to leave, at least you did it in a retro waitress uniform...

Friday, December 04, 2015

Soooo tempting

There's a dress shop near my work with a lot of 50s-style pretty retro dresses in the window. And on a local shop promotion day earlier this week they had this red polka-dot one with a red satin bow belt out in the doorway. I had to stop myself touching it...

One small step

It turns out that Bethany Black's role in Doctor Who was actually quite small, and more importantly, not about gender. Which is a nice little thing, especially in a show watched by millions of families.

Go Baby Go

With your cherry lips and golden curls
You could make grown men gasp when you go walking past
And in your hotpants and high heels
They could not believe that such a body was for real
It seems like rainbows would appear
Whenever you came near the clouds would disappear
Because you looked just like a girl
Your baby blues would flash and suddenly a spell was cast

It's for a good cause...

The Children In Need fundraising telethon is tonight, and as is traditional, crossdressing is a popular option for people going out in costumes with buckets. I wonder how many of them are working through something and not just borrowing from a convenient wardrobe.

The Go-Between

The BBC is really spoiling us with classic adaptations lately... and with beautiful women and handsome men all over them.

I've fancy-envied Joanna Vanderham since I first saw her, and every time she gets to wear a period dress I wish I were her that bit more...

Saturday, September 19, 2015

I love when someone asks what I'm wearing and my honest answer is fun.

Normalising, one laugh track at a time

Boy Meets Girl is such an ordinary sitcom, apart from the casting. Hopefully it will lead some equally everyday trans characters into the mainstream.

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Yes, of course I've fantasised about being the girl in Doctor Who...

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

A job I'd love

Looks like Jenna Coleman will be playing Queen Victoria next year. Which means many corsets and petticoats. Lucky girl.

Although the fun of seeing her as a modern girl in period dresses on Doctor Who will be lost.

Monday, September 14, 2015

And then this...

2012! And the appalling research means the writer doesn't seem to know about key developments like The Avengers coming out.

Sunday, September 13, 2015

Let's Do The Time Warp Again

So this happened...

Short version, a woman decides to dress as a Victorian lady and fill her house with retro tech. Good for her. Then she goes online (as one does in the 1880s) to talk about how everything was so much better then.

Er... no.

Looking forward to a weekend of lots of going out... wishing I was on a man's arm.

Thursday, August 27, 2015

Oh, Jupiter Ascending, why can't you be the story of my life?

Monday, August 24, 2015

Not if you were...

The Last Man On Earth is about (not actually) the last man on Earth after a global disaster meeting a woman after two years alone, and then... January Jones is the second woman he meets, two days after the first demands that they get married so they can have babies and repopulate humanity. Ouch.

(I'm reminded of The Quiet Earth, where the supposed last man alive tries on various clothes including a nightie, and the last woman goes for a fairytale princess costume at the earliest opportunity. Like I would.)

Sunday, August 23, 2015

Give it all up and become a showgirl? Okay!

Weekend's over, back to passing for male. Ick. I want to run away and join the circus Lady Boys.

Friday, August 21, 2015

Back to me time

Okay, busy times just about over. Time to kick off those heels... no, wait... time to put them on! Getting home from work means dressing as a secretary. Wish I could correct this obvious continuity error...

Trans Scripts

Currently showing at the Edinburgh Festival, Trans Scripts is "an original stage play by based on material assembled from interviews with people from around the world who identify as transgender. Its characters range in age, ethnicity, socio-economic status, educational level and experiences." With a name cast including trans actors, it's been receiving strong reviews.

Being a Ladyboy

I wonder what it would be like to live in a culture where TG is as accepted as it is in, say, Thailand, where ladyboys are prominent enough to be part of our cultural stereotype of the country. (Right now it's the 20th anniversary of the Lady Boys Of Bangkok coming to every Edinburgh Festival.) Would I have come out if it had been more acceptable to do so?

Sunday, August 09, 2015

24 TG historical figures

From Ranker. Good to see some representation, like Marsha P. Johnson, one of the actual heroes of Stonewall (unlike the white guy made up to star in the movie). I think including Joan of Arc is a bit of a stretch but nm.

Saturday, August 08, 2015

Being paid to wear retro dresses? Sounds good to me!

It's another quiet Saturday evening, watching TV and wishing I looked as glamorous as the leading lady. (Specifically, the film noir episode of Castle.)

Bethany Black to guest star in Doctor Who

Bethany Black (previously mentioned here) will be appearing in the new series this autumn.

She's not playing a specifically trans character, which is pretty damn cool.

And it comes close after the Master becoming Missy, and current Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat saying this about that:

“... you know how human beings are never completely male or female; you’re mostly a woman, I’m mostly a man? — that maybe a male Time Lord is someone most of whose regenerations are male,” Moffat continued. “Maybe he’ll have a couple of female ones. The science-fiction of that would make sense to me. Otherwise I think life might be a little bit complicated on Gallifrey — or would it? I don’t think they’d care.”

Wednesday, August 05, 2015

Um...

That awkward moment when someone asks what to add to an RP as TG transformation isn't fantastical enough.

TG movie: Unconditional Love

Unconditional Love is all about one condition. It's a no-budget British indie film with a very pretty reluctant crossdressing boy in the centre. I never looked that pretty even at sixteen. (Though I'd loved a chance to go as far as he does... unlike him.)

Saturday, August 01, 2015

Staying in tonight and I am in a skirt and heels. That feels so much better.

Friday, July 31, 2015

Going out tonight, dressed up male style. Gah, wish I was in a skirt and heels.

Wednesday, July 29, 2015

If I were to write something long form...

Where would I start? Willing or unwilling? Cute or naughty? Modern or historical (or time travel)? And which style to end up with? Bride? Schoolgirl? Secretary? Stepford Wife? Victorian lady?

Becoming an authoress?

Considering writing some of my fantasies at length, for here, maybe Fictionmania... or the Kindle, considering how short most of the 'books' there on the subject are.

The Change-Up

Just watched this on TV. Body swap between two guys, caused by a wish when both relieving themselves in a fountain, which is then removed when they get back there next morning. The thinness of that excuse is almost charming...

Sunday, July 26, 2015

How do I follow that?

Miss Cloud

How should we talk about Final Fantasy VII's crossdressing sequence? by Sarah Nyberg.

I'm older than Sarah when I encountered, I knew my desires and had been keeping them secret for years already. It felt strange to see them being acted out in such a location. Strange... and good.

(Being able to change shape like a Terminator would be fun, of course.)

Thursday, July 16, 2015

I need your clothes, your boots and your handbag.

At no point in the new Terminator movie does Emilia Clarke wear so much as a waitress uniform. Boo!

I want a movie where she looks more like this.
Is that wrong?

Max's Big Bust

An anime-style video game on Kickstarter, nearing its stretch goal with twelve days to go, about the perils of picking up mysterious artifacts at crime scenes. Hint: the perils are TG-ish. (Thanks to Ursine for the linky.)

I don't really know what that means.

Tangerine

A new comedy-drama about two transgender prostitutes, and apparently the first film shot entirely on an iPhone. Which I'm sure must have annoyed someone at Apple. And hopefully pleased others.

Review found at The Mary Sue while looking for news about any more fantastical TG story content at Comic Con since Crosswind.

I don't watch many non-fantasy TG stories, they're so often reflective of the most depressing stories from the community. This is a comedy, so we'll see.

Bride Envy

There are currently 1,789 stories in the "Wedding Dress Or Married" category at Fictionmania, so I'm not exactly alone here.

The thought of being dressed in a beautiful bridal gown, very traditional and as feminine as can be, with a tight corset bodice, full skirts with petticoats, all in white silk or satin... and then to walk down the aisle, with so many guests there admiring my beauty... and then to be wed, and made into a wife...

Saturday, July 11, 2015

Always a guest, never a bride

I attended a wedding today. Cue spike in Bride Envy. The reception had no dress code, so the women mostly dressed up and half the men made some effort. Another nice visual and tactile reminder of how much less fun men’s clothing is. Oh well.

Elliquiy celebrations

To celebrate my Elliversary I got a new avatar, based on this photo...

And put that poor Civil War soldier in her first dress...

And added some suggestions to my RP requests:

Defeated: (M/TG probably BON)
A defeated enemy, at the mercy of his captor - who wants to shame him in defeat. Physical changes, coerced dressing and behavior, possibly in a historical setting?

Transformed To Order: (M/TG probably BON) I've attracted someone's attention and he has decided I would be a perfect subject for an experiment in transformation. Will I submit to the changes? Will I learn to like them - and him?

Thursday, July 09, 2015

Elliquiy

It's my Elliquiy anniversary - seven years, during which I've even managed to finish writing a few stories. (Statistically, more with Wenterburn than anyone else. After last week, possibly more with Wenterburn than everyone else.)

Roleplaying / shared fiction writing by forum can be frustratingly slow, even without sudden stops and disappearing partners, especially when a story really has your interest. Especially if it's a sexy scene rather than a dramatic one, and they often are.

If I were a lot less lazy, I'd collect some of the completed ones (and complete some of the incomplete ones) to put on Fictionmania or somewhere. See how many can people work out where one writer starts and the other ends. As it is, at least I have some readers there. I'm hoping I can share the current non-public American Civil War forced feminization story I'm co-writing when it's finished. Yum!

Bodyswaps again

This time in the cinema, as Sir Ben Kingsley is offered the chance to be young again, and taller and buffer than  he was at that age, by being downloaded into Ryan Reynolds. Apparently it's not the old Joss Whedon script of the same idea (boo!) which is fair enough as it's about someone taking the offer happily rather than having to, and it's directed by Tarsem Singh, who made the oh-so-pretty The Cell and The Fall but apparently doesn't get to do anything so crazy this time (boo!)... but still, if you could be turned into someone new, healthy, young and pretty...

(See Surrogates for a version where everybody's at it, and yes, someone uses it to go TG in the very first scene.)

Body swapping

Would you want to switch bodies with someone? I would... if I had a say in who!

A new comic from Gail Simone coming soon drops two people in the deep end, TG and all. Sounds like it'll be a fun ride!

My pal Ranae (head of tgrpclassifieds) really likes body swap stories, so I'll make sure she sees this...

Going into it willingly... ish

Another type of story I've been considering lately has someone willingly feminised for other reasons - fame and fortune, in a couple of ideas I've had.

"If you want to reach the top, you'll have to wear high heels!"

And of course the subject isn't as prepared for her new life as she thought she was...

Monday, June 22, 2015

Defeated and feminised

"Creating The Perfect Secretary" is the latest in a series of ideas where an enemy uses feminisation as a way of defeating the protagonist, or of showing the extent of his/her defeat. I suppose it's a mix of my desire to be feminised by a strong man and wanting the play to be dramatic rather than immediate total surrender.

Sunday, June 21, 2015

The Perfect Secretary

Just started a version of this on Elliquiy:
Ken and Simon were rivals at the same advertising agency, seeking the same promotion. Then Simon found a way to take Ken out of the running for good, use his skills and knowledge to further his own career, and remind him constantly of his victory.
Would Ken be able to escape once he was under Simon's control... when he was turned into what Simon wanted? Or would he become the perfect secretary?
I used the same picture as the first of this series by Mistress Simone as the "cover", though it might not get quite as sexual. Or it might...

Saturday, June 20, 2015

Just not the kind of busy I want to be...

Typing, fetching and carrying, obeying the dress code and mincing in a pencil skirt and heels, being the perfect secretary.

Thursday, June 18, 2015

New trailer does show sorta-nearly-equal sister, doing normal Assassin's Creed character things, which is good, but I'd have liked to see more than the one unisex outfit.

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

I want a virtual Victorian dress-up game, okay?

No sign of the apparently-nearly-equal sister in the shiny trailer for Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Hmph.

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

A handbag?!

As I spotted in the news today, a new version of The Importance Of Being Earnest on the stage is to star David Suchet as Lady Bracknell. Normally you have to get your Victorian crossdressing on stage with Charley's Aunt. (Or Fanny and Stella.)

TV on TV

I seem to be talking about TV a lot. Fair enough, I have been watching quite a bit lately.

And not just RuPaul's Drag Race...

Sunday, June 14, 2015

Avoiding spoilers, but...

Tonight's Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell hit one of my fantasies bullseye. I imagine the creator Susanna Clarke has seen the same film I have...

Jamie Clayton

Sense8, the new internet TV series from the Wachowskis, features Jamie Clayton as a trans activist. She's beautiful, confident, heroic, basically awesome.

Thanks to Caehlim on Elliquiy for pointing her out.

Thursday, June 11, 2015

At last it's nice out!

Lovely warm weather... wish I was in a flimsy nightdress. I'll certainly take the next opportunity to step into a skirt.

The New Dress Code

Beorning has been running The New Dress Code for me for almost a year now (and in turn I've been running A Visit To Stepford for Beorning) and we just got to a major plot development...

"The office had been doing well under its current manager, with her relaxed style suiting most of the employees well, but when she took maternity leave the company sent a man to take over. He had some old-fashioned ideas about office politics and gender relations... and some new ideas for how to implement them.

Can a young assistant discover his secret... before it's too late?"

Our heroine has gone along with the new heavily-gendered dress code with some reluctance, but a fellow intern has been complaining. Until the morning, she arrived in a nice new blouse and skirt suit...

Tuesday, June 09, 2015

Luxuriating in the bath... thinking about shaving my legs.

Monday, June 08, 2015

All trousers and no skirts make B a sad girl...

Nothing like a few weeks of freedom to dress to make a week of no freedom to dress really sucky.

Sunday, June 07, 2015

I stumbled on this picture, and...

"My face! It feels so... soft! So smooth! So... feminine! I'm the real me at last!"

Back to boy clothes, for now

I've been dressing more for the last few weeks, which has been lovely, but sadly I and my clothes have to go back in the closet for a while.

Fanny and Stella

Currently being told on stage in London, the story of Victorian crossdressers Fanny and Stella shows that as always it ain't what you know, it's who you know - one of them having a judge for a father probably helped them be acquitted on sodomy charges.

And damn if Stella wasn't a pretty gal.

RuPaul's Drag Race

On the sides of buses lately has been the announcement that RuPaul's Drag Race has returned to one of our minor TV channels. So I check and it's apparently series 4, from 2012. It doesn't seem to have any contestants who ping my 'passing envy' either.

Caitlyn Jenner

A TS Olympic athlete introduces herself to the world. She's a very classy and sophisticated lady. Totally jealous of her style! Congratulations Caitlyn!

April, May, June... I'd answer to any of these names

And January too!

Hi again, welcome to June, or... well, not "summer" based on the rain outside and the heating going on automatically inside. Still, I greet the new month in my favourite nightdress and slippers.

Maidenhead

Maidenhead, a forced feminization novel in (so far) eight chapters with more to come, by Lissa of Locked In Lace. Oh my. :)

Regency witchcraft

The main eye candy in Jonathan Strange And Mr. Norrell is the magic. But there's still Charlotte Riley as Arabella. (The men are rather lacking in candy-ness though.)

World Goth Day

Apparently it's the 22nd, so tonight as I sail on into morning. Let me just go put my long black skirt on...

The end of Mad Men

No spoilers, I haven't even seen the last series. But oh, I shall miss Betty and Joan...

Scream Queens trailer

Thanks to Beorning for the link. Emma Roberts as the bad blonde, Skyler Samuels as the good blonde... I may have used them both for stories...

Wednesday, May 20, 2015

Why yes that hour-long internet outage while I'm working on seven different forum stories and chatting would be wonderful thank you.

It's strange how important the difference in wearing a skirt is, even in private and with nothing else on...

Sunday, May 17, 2015

And now I'm sitting at my computer in a pencil skirt, like a proper little PA.

A going out outfit (while staying in)

Friday night, time to be a Goth girl. Leather jacket, black blouse, long black skirt, witch boots, black cherry lips. Wish I had fishnets and long jet black hair to go with it...

Skirt Length

I don't generally wear short skirts. I like the swish of a long skirt, and short ones expose more of my not-so-shapely legs. So the above the knee A-line skirt I'm wearing now is about as short and tight as I go.

Start of the working week... dressing as a secretary.

I think I'll spend every evening this week properly dressed. Putting on some things I don't wear so often. Right now I'm in a skirt suit. I can't quite fasten the jacket, alas.

Sunday, May 10, 2015

It's the end of a... political week. I think we've all earned a little girly time.

Saturday, May 09, 2015

Spent the day wearing something pretty. I think I've earned it.

Seeing someone else in the mirror

Sense8, a Netflix TV series from the Wachowskis, is about eight people starting to share a consciousness. From those creators I expect we'll see some discussion on gender identity. One of the eight is played by Tuppence Middleton... who I would very much like to see looking back when I look in the mirror!

;)
There's never been an out crossdresser in Parliament. Plenty of closeted ones though! :D

Eddie Izzard has promoted Labour but he wasn't running. I'd have voted for him...

I'd only vote Tory if I got to be one of their wives. ;)

Far And Away

I'd never actually watched this 23-year-old 19th century historical romance thingy with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (back when they were a thing) all the way through before. But I knew Nicole gets some great outfits in it...

I think I want the riding ensembles from the beginning and end most of all...

An actual update

Much as I'd like to, I really can't excuse spending X much on a few hours of secret fun. :/

Thursday, April 30, 2015

I'm wearing a skirt.

Spent pretty much the whole day at home, swishing around properly dressed.

Penny Dreadful clothes

Swoon.

More modern cutely Goth than full-on Victorian, but I still kind of want... all of them.

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

Okay, I'm now free to dress as much as I like for over a month. Where to start...

Elliquiy's tenth anniversary

I've been there myself almost seven years, and in that time I've even managed to get to the end of a few stories!

Saturday, April 25, 2015

The skirt slides down and you feel your body surrender to it, like it did to all the other garments you have allowed yourself to wear. You are now fully dressed as a woman from head to toe... and you suspect the mirror will show only a woman...

Wednesday, April 22, 2015

This is my dream...

A new version of Far From The Madding Crowd... Carey Mulligan in as many beautiful Victorian outfits as they can fit into two hours... swoon.

Yes please.
