The house has been empty for decades, never occupied for more than a few days, since a tragedy in the Victorian era. And now you know why no-one could live here, as you find yourself re-enacting it... taking the role of the girl who died the night before her wedding...
... even though you were a man when you entered the house.
You begin to undress, then slowly, skilfully dress yourself in the lovely feminine clothing. The fine corset, silk stockings, lace-trimmed petticoats and satin ballgown should have long since rotted away to nothing, but they are good as new, and putting on each one alters you to fit them, changing you more and more into the beautiful young lady who should wear them.
Unseen hands assist you... whispering voices tell you when to breathe in for the corset to tighten and constrict your waist, when to step into the high heeled shoes... as your eyes adjust, you see that your maids are dressing you...
Soon, you will be fully dressed... fully transformed... fully transported to the past, and a new life as a lady. You could resist, escape...
But you don't...
Nice - and what is going on in those rooms as she steps out into the world of the late 19th century..?
ReplyDeleteLet's just say there's a long delayed wedding to prepare for.
DeleteYou wouldn't believe how often I have wanted to be "forced" into a situation exactly like this!
