So somebody knows, though I don't recognize that person's name - which could mean it's someone who has encountered me online and has tracked me? Or someone working at a clothing store...? Maybe we have talked or the like, íf it's online then he/she knows both my online name and my real name. The first thing I'd do is to look around, and see if there is any kind of paper setting out any instructions or conditions - and if the heeled shoes go with any of my stockings I might, um, try them on....
Well, lacing them on for real and letting my feet rest in them would be irresistible, wouldn't it? And then taking a few furtive steps into the wardrobe room to retrieve a fittingly tight, dark skirt and let it slip on...holding one's knees fairly close together.
Yes... the desire to dress completely has you now, doesn't it? Fitting yourself into your skirt... then a bra and a blouse... you'll need makeup and perfume and jewellery as well...
And as this moves ahead, adorning your body and trying out new things, and, thinking about how you need to change some of the way you move and talk - the ever growing need to be colloquially spoken to as Louise, or as Beatrice or some other name, right? And to know that you'd be corrected or smiled at if you said "but hey, Bea is not my real name!"
I'd try them on with the dark knee-length skirt, the heels and such...And by that time I am sure that somewhere down the line, some kind of note will arrive telling me to have photos taken of myself dressed up in various outfits and e-mail them to --- or send them to a certain PO box, number so and so. You too?
Of course I would try them on... feeling the lovely material and how well they fit... eagerly awaiting my next delivery. Will it be a dress... jewellery.. makeup... or commands?

ReplyDeleteNo paper, no instructions... no conditions...
DeleteAnd as you roll on the stockings and step into the shoes, you find that they fit perfectly.
