Dress me Victorian...



I wish that was me on the right. Or the left, but the black brocade and hint of pink satin...

  1. Mmm, such lovely gowns - and ridiculously restrictive to move around in! It's no wonder upper-class women of the "belle époque" had a reputation fo. r fainting. That bustle on the right merits the word "train" by its weight and bulk, really something to merrily pull around...

    2. Yep, and the contrast one of those ladies would make with a military man, a ship's captain (the Onedin Line!) or a mine worker!
