On another note... "Sic transit Gloria Swanson" as a famous opera singer from here used to say when getting on the bus or the morning train for the next gig during a tour in the countryside, switching from the persona (and the gowns) of Desdemona, Tosca or Despina to her offstage working self.
I love this video clip for its cool inspection of the passing glow of fame, the switches between stage limelight and a look from the side...Even more disarming because it was made at a time when Sparks were not doing that well in the charts and it could look like they had their future behind them. And Ron's Groucho Marx-like facials are awesome, as always. ;)
